JR Pickens has lived and traveled in Texas for over 40 years. Born in Texarkana and raised in El Paso. That's over 800+ miles of Texas ranches, cities, rivers, coastlines, and borders. JR's passion is the history of Texas and writing stories about the lives that lived there.
